So I've had a really crazy year. yet again. More to come and more to explain. Sometime in the summer, I will be back to recording this amateur podcast thing.

Enjoy this song titled "It Evaporates" by TV Girl and check out their free album download on bandcamp: http://tvgirl.bandcamp.com/

As noted by breadhanded via tumblr music reviews:

"The late 1950’s into the early 1960’s were a very interesting time in music, because while there were certainly artists looking to express themselves, music was first and foremost a product, something to be constructed and then sold to the public. While it is easy to look at such construction as soulless, this period gave us some of the best hooks and melodies ever known. Perhaps when someone removes opinions from music and just focuses on construction, great music is to be had.

I think this is why I like TV Girl so much; their combination of doo wop-era samples and a modern perspective make for an irresistible listen. They keep putting out gold, and if you liked “Misery”, head over to their Bandcamp for their recently released mixtape, The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle. As always, enjoy."

Been super busy without internet until now... but now I am back online and getting really in the swing of things. Still recovering from nasal congestion and this head cold from last week, but should get an episode up here soon. I know ya'll don't like these empty promises of more things to come. But I'm always running around so it takes me a little more to stop for a sec.

This SSS no. 24 (SSS stands for short song segment): Lou Reed's "Perfect Day"

Enjoy + disclaimer about sampling purposes only, please support artists online through iTunes, Amazon, etc.

So sorry for not making an update, let alone an episode. I had time this weekend to do so, but chose to sleep and drink some cider instead. :C

I assure you that my playlist is flamin' hot right now with jams. Here's a taste...
THIS SSS: Pivotal ~by Rai Knight
sooo this girl is from the D, sounds like an R&B return to Gwen Stefani style pop. big smile I'm usually not a pop listening person, but this is catchy.

apparently this is my 100th post! too bad I run 3 types of episodes on here sporadically and don't care about numbers, just content. big smile I think that this is a good thing. anyway, this is just a heads up that I'll fill you what's going on in the next couple weeks, and you will see a revamp of the last full episode "ALT MUSIC no. 18" along with an "ALT no. 19". get ready for some great stuff and a summer mix cd (this is for you, Sebastian). THIS SSS: if you want ~by Tom Vek i need to watch some old kungfu movies again. and more Jackie Chan (he sings too!). here is a stunts clip with Jackie's Japanese cover song:

so i just realized that i somehow managed to buy a ticket for Ok Go for tomorrow night. if you're in the Midtown Detroit area and would like an affordable music show, they are playing this April 22, Thursday @ 9:00pm for $15 at the Magic Stick.

besides that, i just listen to a lot of electro stuff. and i turned 19! i can now go drink in Canada if i wanted to do so.

THIS SSS: At A Glance ~by Body Language(Toro y Moi Remix)
-----> i was too busy earlier in the month to see Washed Out and Small Black, but i will get pretty good report at the next venue. this summer calls for more music shows and some good eats.

if you are interested in this, I have an artblog now to chart my projects at CCS. see some stuff @ http://magicdanish.blogspot.com/
